Hi everyone, typing this in English as my portuguese isn't great. I've been self-employed in Portugal for a few years after working for Portuguese entities for a few years. My OB wants me to go on baixa starting in June, but my seguranca social contributions show my remunerations are much lower than what I actually earned. My quarterly statements show my actual earnings, but when I look at the summary of my career, it states my contribution as 6270/ month, which is about half of what I've actually earned on average according to my quarterly report. I think this is the max allowed for trabalhador independente.
Would it make sense for me to continue working and just take lots of holiday in June and July because I will earn more than what I would take home from baixa de risco?
Thanks!
